Preparation

1. Beat eggs with butter with a mixer at medium speed. For a two-color cake, you can use good margarine. In this case, the baked goods will stay fresh longer. If you don’t have time to wait for the butter to melt on its own, you should cut it into small pieces or grate it.

2. Add sugar and baking powder and continue beating the dough for another 10 minutes. Then gradually add the sifted flour.

3. After each portion, the dough must be thoroughly kneaded. Depending on the quality of flour, you will need 1–1.5 tbsp. You should get a smooth oily mass.

4. When the dough becomes similar in consistency to thick sour cream, half should be transferred to a separate container. You need to add cocoa powder and cinnamon (optional). The dough must be stirred well so that it becomes evenly colored.

5. B silicone mold, lubricated vegetable oil, lay out the light dough. It should occupy no more than 1/3 of the volume.

6. Another 1/3 of the form will take chocolate dough. In order for the layers to mix a little with each other and the two-color cake to turn out marbled when cut, you can use a long, non-sharp stick (for example, a cocktail straw).

Delicious, sweet cake that goes well with both tea and coffee. I didn’t sprinkle the top powdered sugar because it's so sweet. I turned the oven on to low heat when I started pouring the dough into the pan. I baked it for exactly an hour, but after turning off the oven I left it there, so it got very browned. Don't repeat my mistake!

I also want to say that the taste vaguely reminded me of Chess cake, it’s Soviet times, sold in the culinary department. It was delicious!
