  • cumin - two tablespoons.

1. Turn on the oven to warm up and start preparing the cookie dough. Pour flour with baking powder into a bowl. Then add sour cream.


2. Following the sour cream, add a teaspoon of salt to the bowl. Knead the elastic dough. If necessary, you can add a little more flour or sour cream. The finished dough should not stick to your hands.


3. Three 100 g of hard cheese on a fine grater.


4. Add cumin seeds and cheese to ready dough and mix it thoroughly again.


5. Divide the dough ball into four equal parts (for further ease of cookie formation).

6. Roll each of the four parts into a layer 0.5-0.7 cm thick. Then, using a regular or figured knife, cut the layer into long strips. The length of the stripes depends on your preferences and imagination.


7. Place the dough strips on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Similarly, we form cookies from the remaining three parts of the dough.


8. Bake cookies at 200 degrees for 25 minutes.

Salty corn cookies with cumin and turmeric can be used as a snack at work or school and on the road, in addition, it goes well with first courses, replacing bread, buns, and flatbreads.

Ingredients:

Corn flour - 110 g.,
wheat flour - 100 g.,
vegetable oil - 40 ml.,
milk - 110 ml.,
salt - 1 tsp,
sugar - 1 tbsp. l.,
baking powder - 1/2 tsp,
cumin - 1-2 tbsp. l.,
turmeric - 1/2 tsp.

Preparation:

Corn and wheat flour, sift half a teaspoon of turmeric into a bowl. Add the rest of the dry ingredients: granulated sugar, salt, baking powder, mix thoroughly. Add 1-2 tablespoons of cumin and stir again, distributing the cumin evenly.

Add vegetable oil. After warming up a little on the stove, add milk and knead the dough. As a result, we get a plastic, non-sticky and moderately oily dough of a bright yellow hue with a contrasting splash of cumin.

On the work surface (I dropped some for lubrication vegetable oil) roll out the layer - bring the thickness of the sheet to 3-4 mm. Using a sharp knife, such as a pizza roller, cut into squares or rectangles to suit your taste.
Transfer the cookies to a baking sheet lined with parchment. Bake by preheating the oven to 200 degrees for about 15 minutes.

Take club potatoes and wash them thoroughly. When washing, a brush is used, but there is no need to remove the peel. Then you need to cook it until completely cooked. Remove the peel from the finished potatoes, just let them cool before doing so. Next, you need to rub it using a grater and strain through a sieve. Add margarine and salt to the grated potatoes, and then add egg yolk. Mix this mixture. Add flour to the water, mix with potatoes and begin preparing the dough.

Pour flour onto the table and roll out the dough until its thickness reaches one centimeter. Next, cut the prepared mass into strips.

Place parchment paper on a baking sheet and arrange the finished cut strips. Sprinkle cumin on top and brush with egg white. Collect what is left of the dough in the form of scraps, form a mass, and re-cut into strips. Baking is done in a well-heated oven (once the internal temperature reaches 240 degrees) for fifteen minutes. A sign that the dish is ready will be the golden hue of the cumin cookies.
