How to cook cabbage with pork in a slow cooker.

. This meat is perfect for stewing. You can also take a spatula or any other piece of your choice. But I don’t really recommend choosing the neck, since it is quite fatty, but this, again, is a matter of taste, and here, as they say, you won’t find a friend.
As for cabbage, I take a whole small head of cabbage. If the pot is large, then I do this, chopping it until the multicooker bowl is filled almost to the top. There is no need to be afraid that there will be too much cabbage, because it will decrease in size by half, and what remains will be very tasty and will be quickly eaten by you.
So now let's get started.

Cut the meat into medium-sized pieces.
If there is fat, then I cut off most of it with a knife, but a little fat can be left for taste. Add a little to the slow cooker vegetable oil
and turn on the “frying” mode.

At the same time, add spices to the meat. I add black pepper, paprika and turmeric. If you don't like turmeric, you can do without it. But I add this seasoning to add flavor and also to give the dish a beautiful color. You can add other spices to this dish if you wish. It all depends on your preferences. You can use basil, suneli hops, dried garlic or finely chop fresh. You can also add a little hot sauce
Tabasco or any other.
Now mix the pieces and continue frying them. Ultimately, before adding cabbage, the pieces of meat should have an appetizing golden brown crust. Then the meat will turn out very tasty in the finished dish.
While the pork is roasting, let's start with the vegetables.

Cut the onion into half rings.
You can add more onion if you like it. One medium onion is enough for me.

You can, of course, cut it, for example, into thin strips, cubes or even circles, but it seems to me that it is ideally present in this dish in grated form.
Now let's add onions and carrots to our meat.

And mix all the ingredients.
While the vegetables and meat are fried, we will deal with the cabbage.
As I already said, you will need a large amount of cabbage. It can be grated using a special attachment for large vegetables or chopped with a knife. For me, the second option is more convenient.
To determine required quantity, I just chop the cabbage and immediately throw it into the multicooker bowl, mixing it with the rest of the ingredients of our dish.

When we have chopped enough, we need to add more turmeric so that it gives the desired color to the cabbage.


And don't forget to add ketchup. For such a dish, you can choose absolutely any ketchup. Or, you can use it instead tomato paste. Here look at the availability of ingredients, add what you have. Taste ready-made dish it won't make it any worse.
Now mix the cabbage with meat and vegetables.

And add some water. Half a glass will be enough.
Now let’s close the lid of the multicooker and change the mode.
Set the simmer mode to 1 hour. This time is set automatically on my multicooker and is ideally enough for preparing this dish.
To check readiness, you need to taste the cabbage. It should soften. If the cabbage is soft, then the dish is ready and you can set the table.

Well-fried and then stewed pieces of pork will simply melt in your mouth.
This is a very tasty and very simple dish. Absolutely anyone can cope with the preparation of such stewed cabbage. And dinner will be quite filling.

You will need:

  • white cabbage – 1 kg;
  • pork – 500 g;
  • onion – 100 g;
  • carrots – 150 g;
  • Bay leaf;
  • salt.

Cooking method:

  1. First you need to chop the cabbage, sprinkle with salt and pepper, lightly mash it with your hands and let it brew for a while.
  2. Meanwhile, wash the pork and cut it into small pieces of equal size.
  3. Peel the onion and cut it into half rings.
  4. Now place the food in the slow cooker. Place half the pork on the bottom, add salt and bay leaf. Then cover the meat with a layer of onions and cabbage. Place the remaining pork, bay leaf, onion and cabbage on them.
  5. Add a glass of water to the slow cooker and cover the pan with a lid.
  6. The dish should be cooked in the “Stew” mode for 1.5 – 2 hours (the time depends on the type of multicooker and how finely you cut the meat). During this time, stir the cabbage and pork a couple of times.

Cabbage with pork in a slow cooker can be prepared in a slightly different way. For example, fry vegetables and meat in oil. The taste of the dish is completely different. Try it!

Recipe 2

Ingredients:

  • pork pulp – 700 g;
  • cabbage – 1 kg;
  • onion – 200 g;
  • carrots – 250 g;
  • tomato paste – 1 tablespoon;
  • vegetable oil;
  • sugar;
  • pepper;
  • salt.

Cooking method:

  1. Wash the pork and cut into small pieces.
  2. Pour oil into the multicooker and set the “Fry” mode.
  3. Place the meat in the pan.
  4. Meanwhile, peel the onion and cut it into half rings. It should be placed in the slow cooker 10 minutes after the pork.
  5. Add tomato paste, pepper, sugar, salt and spices to taste to the pan. Mix it all well.
  6. Chop the cabbage and place it in the slow cooker too.
  7. Then add the carrots grated on a coarse grater.
  8. Now switch the multicooker to the “Stew” mode and cook the dish for another hour.

As you can see, cooking pork and cabbage in a slow cooker is not at all difficult. This dish is served hot. By itself, it’s quite filling, so there’s no need to think about a side dish – you can just make it light salad. Original taste cabbage with pork in a slow cooker will be flavored with ketchup. The multicooker allows us to put the chopped products into a bowl, set the program and forget about the cabbage for a couple of hours - it will still turn out very tasty and quite dietary. But the taste of the finished dish will be much brighter if you work a little magic on the food before pressing the coveted button on the instrument panel.

Stewed cabbage with meat in a slow cooker is cabbage, a certain set of vegetables and spices, and meat. You can use almost any meat for this dish. Pork (lean or medium fat), beef, chicken, turkey, and semi-finished meat products like sausages or smoked sausages. Instead of pork pulp, you can use ribs - the dish will turn out divine. Cabbage can be fresh, pickled, or you can mix them. Of the other vegetables in this dish, onions and carrots must be present - a sure pair - and optionally Bell pepper, peas, tomatoes or tomato paste.

The same goes for frying onions and carrots. Better in a frying pan. You can do it in a slow cooker, no one forbids it, of course. This is more convenient and logical for you.

Ingredients:
1 kg cabbage,
1 carrot,
1 onion,
600-700 g pork,
3-4 tbsp. vegetable oil,
1 tbsp. salt,
ground black pepper - to taste,
1 stack hot water.

Preparation:
Cut the onion into cubes, grate the carrots coarse grater, cut the meat into pieces about 2 cm. In a frying pan with hot vegetable oil, fry the carrots until soft, add the onion and cook the vegetables until golden brown, stirring constantly. Place the roast in a bowl, heat the vegetable oil in the frying pan again and fry the pieces of meat over maximum heat, stirring constantly until they are covered with a golden crust. Place the meat in a bowl, add shredded cabbage, salt and pepper to taste and pour in a glass of boiling water. Close the lid and set the “Extinguishing” mode for 2 hours.

In this recipe you can use rack of pork ribs- chop them and fry them before putting them in the slow cooker. And if the ribs are smoked, there is no need to fry them.

If you don’t want to fry in a frying pan, cook immediately in a slow cooker: add onions and carrots one by one, frying them for 5-10 minutes each time in the “Baking” or “Frying” mode, then put the meat in and cook under the lid in the same mode for 10 minutes. 15 (if it’s pork) or 20-25 minutes (if it’s beef). Stewed cabbage with meat and mushrooms

Ingredients:
1 kg cabbage,
1 kg pork pulp,
500 g fresh mushrooms(champignons, oyster mushrooms, forest mushrooms in season),
2 onions,
2 carrots,
salt, ground black pepper, herbs, vegetable oil - to taste.

Preparation:
Wash the mushrooms thoroughly and cut into pieces, cut the meat into cubes. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil and fry the mushrooms in it first, stirring until the liquid has evaporated, then the meat until golden brown. Add chopped onions and carrots, pour in a little water and simmer until soft. Place the ingredients in a bowl, add shredded cabbage, herbs, salt and pepper to taste. Close the multicooker lid and set the “Stew” mode for 1 hour.

When preparing this dish exclusively in a multicooker, without frying pans, fry the mushrooms with the multicooker lid open until all the liquid has evaporated, and then just add the meat to the bowl, stir and cook under the lid until golden crust.

Cabbage with mushrooms and chicken turns out very tasty. Take chicken thighs and drumsticks, they cook wonderfully in the “Stew” mode.

Stewed cabbage with meat and tomato

Ingredients:
1 kg cabbage,
500-600 g of meat,
1 carrot,
1 onion,
2-3 tomatoes or 2 tbsp. tomato paste,
½ cup water,
salt, ground black pepper, spices - to taste,
vegetable oil for frying.

Preparation:
Set the multicooker mode to “Baking”, pour vegetable oil (2-3 tablespoons) into the bowl and let it warm up well. Meanwhile, cut the meat into cubes and place in a bowl. Fry the meat in a bowl for 30 minutes, covered, stirring a couple of times. While the meat is fried, cut the onion into cubes, grate the carrots on a coarse grater, peel the tomatoes and cut them into slices (or just use tomato paste). After the time has passed, add vegetables to the bowl, stir and continue cooking in the same mode for another 15 minutes. Then add cabbage, salt and spices, pour in hot water, close the lid and increase the cooking time in the “Baking” mode to 40 minutes.

This mode is quite active, so don’t forget to look at how your stewed cabbage and meat is doing in the slow cooker, and stir the ingredients. If the water has boiled away, add more boiling water.

Stewed cabbage with meat and sweet pepper

Ingredients:
700-800 g cabbage,
400-500 g pork or beef pulp,
1 carrot,
1-2 onions,
1-2 sweet red peppers,
1 stack water,
salt, pepper, vegetable oil.

Preparation:
Cut the onion into half rings, the pepper into strips, and grate the carrots. Cut the meat into 2 cm cubes or pieces. First fry the meat in vegetable oil until golden brown, then add chopped vegetables to it and fry it too. You can fry it either in a frying pan (it will be faster) or in a multicooker bowl (under a closed lid, for a total of 30-40 minutes). Then put shredded cabbage in a bowl, add salt and pepper, you can sprinkle in your favorite spices like suneli hops or Provençal herbs. Just don't overdo it. Pour in water, close the lid and set the multicooker to “Stew” mode for 2-2.5 hours.

The tougher the meat, the longer it will take to simmer. But the stewed cabbage with chicken will be ready in an hour and a half. By the way, you don’t have to fry the chicken. If you decide to stew turkey fillet instead of chicken, it is better to fry it, since its meat is a little denser.

Stewed sauerkraut is definitely winter dish. The sour taste warms. The best partners in a duet with sauerkraut there will be smoked meats or fatty pork.

Stewed sour cabbage with sausages (almost German)

Ingredients:
500 g sauerkraut,
250-300 g sausages,
1 onion,
1 carrot,
1 tbsp. tomato paste,
2-3 tbsp. vegetable oil for frying,
½ tsp cumin seeds (optional)
salt, black pepper, spices - to taste.

Preparation:
Cut the sausages into slices. You can take any sausages, both milk and kupaty, sausages, sausages with fat, etc. Fry them in a frying pan with hot vegetable oil until golden brown. Add the diced onion and grated carrots, stir and cook until softened, about 10 minutes, stirring. Place the food in the multicooker bowl and turn on the “Baking” mode. If the cabbage is too sour, rinse, squeeze and add to the bowl. Add tomato paste, cumin, pepper there and mix the products in a bowl, testing for salt. Do not rush to add salt, as sausages and cabbage have a sufficient amount of salt. Pour in a little water, close the lid and leave to simmer until the end of the mode (40 minutes).

Stewed sauerkraut with pork and rice

Ingredients:
1 kg sauerkraut,
400-500 g pork,
1 multi-cup of washed rice (it is better to soak it for a couple of hours),
1-2 onions,
1 carrot,
1 sweet pepper,
salt, ground black pepper,
vegetable oil - for frying.

Preparation:
Pour a little vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl and let it warm up in the “Baking” mode. Place the diced meat in a bowl and fry, covered, for 30 minutes. In the meantime, cut the pepper into strips, onion into cubes or half rings, grate the carrots on a coarse grater, put the vegetables in a bowl after the meat has been fried, and simmer in the same mode for another 10-15 minutes. Squeeze the cabbage, and if it is too sour, rinse it and add to the bowl, add salt and pepper, and simmer covered for another 10 minutes. Rinse the rice well, place in a bowl, mix the ingredients in the bowl, close the lid and turn on the “Pilaf” mode.

If you use smoked meat, ribs or sausages instead of pork, you do not need to fry them. Rice in this dish is an optional ingredient; you don’t have to add it. Or replace it boiled beans(1/2 cup).
