I would like to give a couple of tips, I read them on one wonderful website about seafood, a long time ago, now I don’t remember which one...
The head of shrimp should not be black. If the head is still black, this means that the shrimp was cooked, but was not frozen for some time (i.e., excuse me, it started to spoil...)
The shrimp should be folded in half - just like in the photo. If the shrimp is unwrapped, i.e. its tail is not tucked tightly to the head, this means that the shrimp died a natural death, and then was frozen, which apparently also means that it could begin to deteriorate... The fact is (terrible things indeed) that after catching shrimp (live ) should be immediately boiled in boiling sea water.... Directly on the trawler. Then they tuck their tail between their legs... And immediately freeze it. Then they will be tasty, juicy, fresh and very healthy. And if some processing condition is not met, then either the head is black, or the caviar is still black, or the tail is straightened... Here.
Maybe it will be useful for someone, for example, my child loves shrimp, I wouldn’t want to feed him low-quality products. So if I find something like this in purchased shrimp, I throw it away without regret. Well, before buying, I carefully examine what’s inside the package.

I defrost it simply - I put it under hot water, the ice and snow (if any) melt, and I just leave it to sit at room temperature. Or generally only at room temperature.

Greens are a must, I only add dill, a lot. And so anything is possible, I think.

The protein mass did not contain even a gram of natural marine crustacean meat, but was formed in such a way that it vaguely resembled meat from the tubular chitinous shells of the walking legs of a crab. For the salad you will need:

  • frozen gutted squid - 750 - 800 g;
  • crab sticks – 100 g;
  • 1 can of corn;
  • boiled egg – 2 pcs.;
  • ground pepper;
  • salt;
  • water – 0.5-0.6 l;
  • mayonnaise – 150 g.

Recipe:

  • Naturally thawed clam carcasses are doused with boiling water. Wash off any curdled skin residues and, if necessary, remove any remaining entrails.
  • The prepared carcasses are laid out in a wide saucepan in one row. Boil water in a kettle and pour 0.5 liters of boiling water into the squid, add 5-6 g of salt.   • The egg, which has been boiled and cooled in advance, is cut into very narrow slices.

  • The corn is freed from liquid.
  • Combine all the ingredients, add pepper to taste and season the salad with mayonnaise. Mix everything and serve ready dish on the table.
