  • Dark beer - 350 ml.

The main "chip" of this snack is bread. Ideally, if you can find Lithuanian wheat, if not, you need to choose a loaf with a dense texture, with a heavy dough and small holes.

  • The crusts are cut off, only the soft part is used. It is cut into strips 1 cm thick. and 3-5 cm long. They are fried in a frying pan slightly greased with olive (sunflower) oil until a crust appears on all sides. It is important that the inside of the dough does not dry out, but remains soft.
  • Hard cheese is rubbed on a medium-sized grater, mixed with mayonnaise and crushed garlic. Mayonnaise is taken in such an amount that the mixture does not “float”, but retains a dense consistency.
  • When the croutons have acquired the desired condition, the fire under the pan is increased and a spicy mixture is poured into the bread. It is not necessary to cover the lid, otherwise the crackers will get wet from the condensate.
  • Mix thoroughly so that all the croutons are covered with a layer of melted cheese.
